Land of crystal clear sea and good food

The arrival of summer invites us to discover the most beautiful places in Italy, discovering the enchanting natural landscapes of the coasts and lands of the Bel Paese. In this, Puglia is an excellence not to be missed. The countryside, the sea, the ancient villages, but also the culinary tradition and craftsmanship are wonders to be discovered, from the Gargano to the Tavoliere, up to the deep Salento. But what to see in Puglia to search for the uniqueness of a land with typical Mediterranean flavors? We focus our attention even more in the south of Bari, in the well-known tourist area between Monopoli and Polignano a Mare. This stretch of land, although it is only a small part compared to the 400km of the entire region, and especially compared to the 865km of coastline that the heel of Italy offers, can hold great surprises.

The area offers dozens of views, coves, beaches, stretches of coast to experience for a day at the beach or for a walk through art and history. Starting right from Monopoli, a tourist destination rediscovered only in recent years but full of charm, full of beauty and intimacy, up to the much more famous Polignano. In the town where Domenico Modugno was born and where its terraces overlooking the sea have been rediscovered for some time now, the poems painted on the steps of the houses in the historic center and where every corner of the town is a breathtaking glimpse. It is wonderful to get lost in the ancient alleys, the colors and scents typical of the Mediterranean land. And this is why you shouldn’t miss the Apulian culinary tradition, one of the most imaginative and rich in variety of ingredients and recipes. In Polignano there will be only the embarrassment of choosing the place to taste these delicacies. One for all? The Quadrifoglio restaurant, in via Roma, one of the most typical streets of the old part of the town, full of typical and very welcoming cafes.
