Polignano a Mare - 13 km from the Villa
Polignano a Mare stands out all white on the sea in a green and blue colored landscape. Among the things to see in this beautiful Apulian village is Lama Monachile: two rock walls that fall overhanging the sea and surround an inlet of sand and crystal clear water. The beach is located in the center. The view from the Bourbon bridge is fantastic. But that’s not all. On the coast of Polignano a Mare there are now more than 70 sea caves that formed due to the erosive phenomena linked to the action of the sea and the wind. To visit them, take part in one of the many boat tours. Polignano is nature and sea, to see and discover. White houses, flowered balconies and many poems written on walls, doors and stairways populate the historic center.

Monopoli - 8 km from the Villa
A dream sea and a historic center rich in art and history make Monopoli one of the most beautiful towns on the Adriatic. As many as 99 city districts make up this splendid town on the Adriatic, in addition to the fantastic viewpoint (Loggia del Pilato): a natural terrace from which you can admire a landscape full of farms, churches, countryside and villas. The symbol of the city is the Carlo V Castle, on the promontory of Punta Penna. In the countryside stands the Lama degli Ulivi Botanical Garden, with caves, rock churches and over 2000 Mediterranean plant species.

Valle d'Itria - 33 km from the Villa
Expanses of olive trees on red earth, dry stone walls, vineyards that follow one another, farms immersed in silence, the magic of trulli, fig trees. Here is the Valle d’Itria, a magnificent valley between Bari, Brindisi and Taranto, also known as the Murgia of the trulli. In fact, it is here that the trulli, the famous traditional cone-shaped stone houses, are concentrated. Natural and architectural beauties, combined with food and wine delights, have made the Itria Valley one of the most visited parts of Italy by national and international tourists. The municipalities that include the Itria Valley are: Martina Franca (35 km), Locorotondo (29 km), Alberobello (21 km), Ceglie Messapica (52 km), Ostuni (43 km), Cisternino (36 km).

Castellana Caves (12 km)
The Castellana Caves extend for about 3 kilometers at an average depth of 70 meters. To welcome you a grandiose natural pantheon 60 meters deep. This is the starting point for the visit to the Castellana Caves which have various sizes, shapes and styles. At the end of the underground path and about 1,500 meters from the Grave, a small portal carved into an imposing alabaster wall leads into the last and most beautiful cave of the Castellana Caves: the White Grotto, defined for the richness and whiteness of the alabaster, the “brightest in the world”. Stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, columns, precious crystals loom along the entire route.

The beaches of Capitolo (14 km)
Long stretches of fine sand, transparent sea and lots of fun in Capitolo, south of Monopoli. The coast at the Capitolo is ideal for those who love the vast sandy beaches lapped by the Adriatic Sea so clear that it deserves the Blue Flag and the 3 Sails of Legambiente. This stretch of coast is characterized by long beaches (public and lidos) with very fine sand. The Chapter is also the center of the Monopolitan summer nightlife where you can have fun, dance and sip cocktails.

The Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve is part of the worldwide network of Blue Parks. Each of them stands out for its commitment to protect the marine environment and the animal species that live there. In this the Salento oasis can boast a good record: its ecosystem is one of the richest in biodiversity in the entire Mediterranean.
